The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP)

The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid-funded program that helps medically fragile children and young adults under age 21 receive skilled healthcare services in the comfort of their homes. Designed to support children with complex medical conditions, GAPP provides access to private duty nursing, personal care assistance, and ongoing clinical support that allows families to safely manage their child’s healthcare needs outside of a hospital or facility setting.

Children with conditions such as ventilator dependence, tracheostomy needs, feeding tube dependence, seizure disorders, congenital heart defects, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, and other medically complex diagnoses may qualify for services through GAPP.

By providing skilled nursing care, medical monitoring, medication management, and assistance with daily living activities, the program helps improve quality of life while supporting children in remaining safely at home with their families.
